Tarpaulin Border Rope

A tarpaulin, often simply called a tarp, is a large sheet of strong, flexible, water-resistant or waterproof material, typically made of cloth such as canvas or polyester coated with polyurethane, or made of plastics such as polyethylene. In some cases, tarpaulins used to protect objects, such as in construction or during the painting of buildings, might have metal grommets (eyelets) at the corners and along the edges to help tie the tarp down or allow it to be hung.
